Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Make Ready to restore vacated apartments to market-ready status in a timely manner per management schedules. The role requires basic maintenance tasks, fault diagnosis, and collaboration with supervisors to ensure quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of related experience, strong English communication, and the flexibility to work on-call and extended hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time related experience.
• Willingness to perform all required tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of work safety habits.
• Ability to represent the company professionally.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work on call and extended hours.
• Attention to detail; ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently and on a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete a make-ready checklist.
• Inform Lead Maintenance and Community Manager of needed services and repairs.
• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Check and replace lights; repair windows, doors, shelves, and related items.
• Assist with appliance handling and installation as needed.
• Make keys when necessary; check faucets and repair as needed.
• Install backsplash; replace washers and perform minor plaster/paint work.
• Inspect bathrooms, tiles, and perform minor repairs.
• Change A/C filters; operate carpet cleaning equipment.
• Lend assistance during trash-out and other projects as directed.
