Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Make Ready who will ensure vacated apartments are restored to market-ready status in a timely manner according to the manager's timetable. The role requires at least one year of related experience and strong English communication skills, with Spanish as a plus, and a valid driver's license for on-site work in San Antonio.

You will inspect units, perform make-ready tasks, check lighting and appliances, and assist with various repairs and installations.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work on call and extended hours, including weekends.
• Attention to detail; ability to organize & prioritize work.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete a make-ready checklist; inform Lead Maintenance and Community Manager of needed services and repairs.
• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Check all lights and replace as necessary; replace or repair windows, doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors, and closets.
• Check applicable appliances and inform Lead maintenance of problems; assist with moving appliances as needed.
• Install ceramic tile backsplash in the kitchen and replace washers when needed.
• Perform exterior repairs to sinks and bathtubs; assist with painting duties and window coverings as requested.
