Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Make Ready to ensure vacated apartments are restored to market-ready status on a timely basis. You will inspect units, perform repairs, replace fixtures, and assist with trash-outs for move-ins.

Minimum one year of related experience, strong English communication, and a valid driver’s license are required. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, and on-call/extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work on call and extended hours.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Attention to detail and ability to organize work.
• Professional representation of the company.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete a make-ready checklist; inform Lead Maintenance and Community Manager of needed services and repairs.
• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Check lights and replace as needed.
• Repair or replace windows, screens, hinges, and doors.
• Check appliances and inform maintenance of problems.
• Assist in moving or removing appliances.
• Install tile backsplash in kitchen.
• Lend assistance during trash-out of apartments.
• Perform exterior repairs to sinks, bathtubs, etc.
• Assist with painting duties when requested.
• Repair curtains, blinds, or ceiling fans as needed.
• Inspect bathroom tiles and perform minor repairs.
• Change A/C filters and operate carpet cleaning equipment.
• Meet on-call requirements and work as needed.
