Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• Bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• Equivalency with 12 college credits in related social sciences and one year of paraprofessional case management experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client interviews to gather information about client needs.
• Obtain social histories to understand client backgrounds.
• Determine and verify eligibility for services.
• Provide counseling, referrals, and supportive services.
• Assist families in creating plans to improve functioning and child well-being.
• Maintain case records and prepare studies.
