Qualifications

• Three years of experience in public or private social work including one year in a public welfare program and one year in a supervisory capacity; and a bachelor’s degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences

Responsibilities

• Staff supervision: Provide formal supervision and guidance to Ongoing Protective Services Casework Supervisors and the Agency’s Social Service Aide Supervisor
• Employee development: Train staff on new and existing procedures, policies, and regulations; maintain the Agency’s policy and procedure manual
• Planning assistance: Help develop the Agency’s Annual Needs Based Plan and Budget, providing budget trends and identifying needs
• Issue resolution: Discuss problems or unusual cases presented by staff, identify solutions, and determine when higher-level review is needed
• Quality assurance: Evaluate case records to ensure services comply with regulations and meet or exceed service delivery standards
