Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 with 12 college credits in sociology or related social sciences.
• Bachelor's degree including 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology or related social sciences.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 credits and one year in paraprofessional case management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client interviews to assess needs and services.
• Obtain social histories to understand client backgrounds.
• Verify eligibility for services and document findings.
• Provide counseling, referrals and supportive services.
• Assist families in creating plans to improve functioning and child well-being.
• Maintain case records and prepare studies.
