Job summary

CHRISTUS HomeCare is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver therapy services in patients' homes, under supervision, across state guidelines. You will assess needs, implement treatment plans, and educate patients and families within legal practice standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with nursing staff, documenting patient progress, and ensuring accessibility in diverse home environments.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care, to follow the treatment set only as defined by the supervising OT.
• Follow the plan of care, instructs and aids patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant and according to the state laws governing occupational therapy assistants
• Observes, records, and reports to the nurse supervisor and the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in the areas of therapy within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
• Pay Range: $49,500 - $109,300 annual total cash target pay
