Job summary

Amedisys is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide skilled OT interventions in home health settings. You will document visits, monitor patient progress, and coordinate follow‑up care with OT supervision in a patient’s home.

Requirements include ACOTE‑accredited OTA education, NBCOT eligibility or certification, a state OTA license, CPR, and at least one year of OTA experience. Competitive benefits accompany a flexible, purpose‑driven role.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant, state‑specific.
• OTA program accredited by ACOTE or successor.
• Eligible to take or completed NBCOT certification exam.
• One year related OTA experience; mentoring/residency if less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Documents each visit according to guidelines and standards.
• Observes and reports patient response and changes in condition.
• Provides resources for future ADL/IADL needs for patient/caregiver.
• Promotes wellness through occupational engagement.
• Demonstrates knowledge of community resources/services.
• Makes follow‑up care recommendations with the care center.
• Keeps up with occupational therapy trends and knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned.
