Job summary

Utah State University is seeking a Director of Development for the Quinney College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. This role leads donor qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, aligning gifts with college priorities and university goals.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Development for QANR, you will manage major gifts, collaborate with college leadership, and travel to engage donors and industry partners while advancing private support for strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus four years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Proven ability to engage in complex gift conversations and close significant gifts.
• Ability to work with senior administrators, faculty, and advisory boards.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Qualify, cultivate, solicit, recognize and steward major gift prospects of $50,000+.
• Develop customized donor strategies aligned to college priorities.
• Travel frequently to meet donors, alumni, and corporate partners; evening/weekend work may be required.
• Collaborate with Dean, faculty, and advancement colleagues to secure private support.
