Job summary

Loos & Co., Inc. in Pomfret, CT is seeking a dedicated Laborer to support the Maintenance department with stocking, cleaning, inspections and preventive tasks.

This 1st shift (7:00am–3:30pm), Monday–Friday, requires forklift operation, adherence to safety policies, data entry into company systems, and teamwork to keep production flowing; a high school diploma and forklift certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
• Able to read, understand and follow work orders, specs, and instructions.
• Able to operate forklifts safely and responsibly.
• Must have or be willing to obtain forklift certification; company assists.

Responsibilities

• Stocking products and materials; assisting with preparation for production.
• Transporting materials and products using forklifts or manual handling equipment.
• Conducting housekeeping and facility tasks; maintaining clean work areas and machinery.
• Supporting maintenance tasks, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Communicating with supervisor and team about production issues and processes.
• Participating in team meetings and suggesting process improvements.
