Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Maintenance Technician on 1st Shift (Mon-Fri) to inspect, repair and maintain forklifts, material handling equipment, and production machinery in a safe, efficient, and cost-conscious manner. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, use manuals and diagrams, and replace components as needed.

The role requires factory training in diagnostic software, PLC experience preferred, and ability to work with hand, pneumatic, and welding

Qualifications

• Factory training and certification in diagnostic software.
• PLC experience is a plus.
• Ability to use hand, pneumatic and power tools and welding equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions from supervisor and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, preventive maintenance, repairs, replacements, installations, or rebuilding of components to restore equipment to proper operation.
• Expertly analyze and diagnose equipment problems and/or breakdowns
• Use repair manuals, parts manuals, parts diagrams and computer diagnostics to troubleshoot engines, engine fuel systems, transmissions or other components on the equipment
• Use hand and power tools to remove, install, replace, rebuild, repair, drain fluids, assemble equipment, clean and test parts/equipment on engines, engine fuel systems, transmissions and other components.
• Replace pumps, batteries, radiators, bearings, seals, wiring, fuel lines, nozzles, tests float valves, alternators and plugs
