Job summary

Yugo is seeking a Maintenance Technician in College Station, Texas. This hourly, non-exempt role supports the safety and upkeep of the property and serves as a liaison between residents and management to deliver a high-quality living experience.

You will handle maintenance tasks across plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and fixtures, perform inspections, and assist with turnover and safety compliance. This position is on-site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA Type I certification or higher preferred.
• Pool maintenance certification preferred if required locally.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with technology and online systems.
• Carbon Literacy Certification or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders efficiently with high-quality repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies with excellent service.
• Perform general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, equipment and common areas for issues.
• Maintain appearance, safety and functionality of the property.
• Prepare vacant units with inspections and repairs.
• Maintain pools, spas and related equipment per local rules.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours maintenance as needed.
• Manage inventory of tools and supplies; keep storage organized.
• Follow OSHA and safety standards; attend safety trainings.
• Communicate with maintenance leadership and property management.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as directed.
• Maintain professional relationships with residents and vendors.
• Assist with additional maintenance and improvement projects.
• May work near mechanical equipment or chemicals; lift 50+ lbs.
• Assist with projects to support community goals.
