Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to care for the interior and exterior of the community, following the guidelines and safety procedures set by the Executive Director and Environmental Services Director. The role supports a hospitality-driven, resident-centered culture.

The schedule is Sunday–Thursday, 8:30am–4:30pm, with a pay rate of $26–$32/hour (DOE). MBK offers rich benefits, training, and opportunities for growth within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or over, or have the proper work permit and work authorization documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent (if over 18).
• Background clearances as required by government regulations.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Valid driver’s license and valid insurance for vehicle/van capacity.
• Must be able to lift and push up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• Prior maintenance experience preferred; on-the-job training available.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, clean, and repair equipment and property per work orders and supervisor directions.
• Address daily work orders including lighting, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks.
• Perform interior/exterior painting and landscaping duties to keep grounds well kept.
• Ensure safety by using PPE and proper chemical handling; keep areas clean and organized.
• Troubleshoot and repair common resident equipment, doors, and call systems.
• Keep common areas and apartments clean, attractive, and functioning.
