Job summary

Fairgrove Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep rental properties in excellent condition across San Diego. You will troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances, perform preventive maintenance, and service multiple properties with a focus on quality, safety, and resident satisfaction.

The role requires self-motivation, strong customer service, and the ability to manage multiple work orders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in property management or related field.
• Strong knowledge of computers and cloud-based software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Perform preventative maintenance on properties and units.
• Turnover make ready tasks and prepare vacant units for move-ins.
• Maintain daily maintenance records and coordinate with vendors.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and team.
• After hours emergency response as needed.

Job Summary

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the rental properties in excellent condition, both inside and out. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, highly customer focused, technically skilled, fast moving, and technologically proficient. This position services multiple properties.

Essential Job Functions – Position Requirements

• Troubleshoot, assess, repair, and replace HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
• Conduct preventative maintenance on the properties or within the units
• Repair or replace floors, ceilings, walls, siding, doors, door hardware, windows, window screens, and other general building items
• Maintain accurate record of daily maintenance records and action items
• Interact with vendors and suppliers in a professional manner
• Provide exceptional customer service to the team and residents
• Support Fairgrove Property Management's mission and values
• Communicate in a timely and effective manner
• Complete emergency and routine service requests
• Turnover make ready tasks
• Assist in the preparation of vacant units for new move-ins.
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash as needed.
• Utilize computer, tablet and smart phone software and applications
• Perform other tasks as requested
• After hours emergency response as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in property management or a related field, with customer service experience
• Strong knowledge of computers and technology including cloud-based software and applications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
• Great communication skills
• Organized and able to manage work orders for multiple priorities
• Honest, Trustworthy & Accountable
• Clean driving record with valid driver’s license
• Dependable transportation
• Provide own tools to complete work orders
