Job summary

Fairgrove Property Management, serving Southern California, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service multiple rental properties across the LA area. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, with a pay rate of $28.00–$30.00 per hour and mileage reimbursement.

You will troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances; perform preventative maintenance; handle repairs to floors, walls, doors, and windows; and maintain accurate daily records while delivering excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in property management or related field with customer service
• Strong knowledge of computers and technology including cloud-based software and applications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
• Great communication skills
• Organized and able to manage work orders for multiple priorities
• Honest, trustworthy & accountable
• Clean driving record with valid driver’s license
• Dependable transportation
• Provide own tools to complete work orders

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, assess, repair, and replace HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
• Conduct preventative maintenance on properties or units
• Repair or replace floors, ceilings, walls, siding, doors, windows, and other building items
• Maintain accurate records of daily maintenance and actions
• Interact with vendors and suppliers professionally
• Provide exceptional customer service to team and residents
• Communicate in a timely and effective manner
• Complete emergency and routine service requests
• Turnover make ready tasks
• Assist in preparing vacant units for new move-ins
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash
• Use computer, tablet and smartphone software/applications
• Perform other tasks as requested
• After hours emergency response as needed

Job Summary:

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the rental properties in excellent condition, both inside and out. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, highly customer focused, technically skilled, fast moving, and technologically proficient. This position services multiple properties.
