Apartment Management Professionals, LLC (AMP Residential) is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Riverfront Towers in Detroit, MI. This full-time, hourly position focuses on keeping the property safe, attractive, and well-maintained.

The ideal candidate has facilities maintenance experience (1+ year), HVAC/plumbing/electrical repair skills, and strong customer service. A valid driver’s license, background check, and drug screening are required.

• Facilities maintenance experience required (1+ year).
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass background check and drug screening; valid driver’s license with auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy by making repairs.
• Complete work orders in occupied homes and provide fast, friendly service.
• Follow preventive maintenance guidelines and safety procedures.
• Maintain property grounds and perform general upkeep.
• Handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance service requests.
• Collaborate with team to meet property goals and service standards.
• Assist with the apartment make-ready process.

Apartment Management Professionals, LLC (AMP Residential) is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Riverfront Towers! This apartment community has 550 units and is located in Detroit, MI.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive and comfortable condition. This individual will maintain relationships with other service staff, residents and vendors. Some key responsibilities will include providing the highest level of customer service, make regular inspections of grounds and buildings as part of a preventative maintenance plan, complete service requests and assist with the apartment make-ready process. The maintenance technician reports directly to the maintenance supervisor.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy by making any necessary repairs
• Complete work orders in occupied homes while providing fast, friendly service
• Follow preventive maintenance guidelines
• Maintain property grounds
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests
• Team work to achieve property goals
• Follow safety procedures

• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms
• Position requires ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear
• Must be able to lift or move 100lbs occasionally

Qualifications:

• Facilities maintenance experience is required, at least 1 yr. in a similar industry
• Appliance troubleshooting/repair, electrical experience
• Strong plumbing knowledge/background required
• Strong organizational skills and communication skills
• CPO preferred but not required, knowledge of pools a plus
• Must have strong teamwork skills and be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Valid Driver's License with auto insurance
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Must be available after hours and weekends for on-call responsibilities (rotated schedule)
