Job summary

Fitch Irick Corporation in Sterling, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our apartment communities running smoothly and safely. You will perform routine maintenance, respond to repair requests, and help with unit turnovers to ensure high-quality living spaces for residents.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of general maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• At least 1 year of general maintenance experience; property management experience a plus.
• EPA/CFC certification preferred.
• Ability to travel between properties up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Property Care: maintain grounds, buildings, and amenities with regular inspections.
• Preventative Maintenance: ensure HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems operate smoothly.
• Timely Repairs: respond quickly to maintenance requests with professional service.
• Unit Turnovers: prepare spaces for new residents after move-out.
• Emergency Response: handle repairs efficiently and document incidents for records.
• Compliance: maintain safety standards and Fair Housing compliance.
