Job summary

Fitch Irick Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Richlands, VA to support day-to-day maintenance for the property or properties assigned. You will respond to maintenance requests, perform unit turnovers, and maintain grounds, amenities, and common areas while complying with applicable regulations and Fitch Irick policies.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, physical stamina for labor-intensive tasks, and a proactive approach to safety and reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: None Required.
• Physical Abilities: Labor intensive with lifting up to 100+ pounds.
• Interpersonal Abilities: teamwork, integrity, leadership, customer service.
• Education: Associate’s Degree (preferred).
• Certifications: EPA/CFC (preferred).
• Preferred Experience: 1+ years maintenance in real estate or property management.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean and maintain property grounds, buildings and amenities.
• Schedule and complete all preventative maintenance programs.
• Report risks and incidents with required forms to Site Manager.
• Observe Fair Housing rules and regulations.
• Handle emergencies per Fitch Irick policies and procedures.
• Maintain supplies and storage areas; document maintenance requests.
• Complete unit turnovers and ensure compliance with turnover checklist.
