Job summary

Ecco Living is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our growing portfolio of residential properties throughout Los Angeles. This hands-on role requires pride in workmanship, problem solving, and independent, professional communication.

We manage a diverse portfolio across Los Angeles, offering steady work, varied responsibilities, and opportunities for advancement as the company grows. In-person work throughout the LA area with a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of apartment maintenance experience required (explicit).
• High-rise residential experience is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, appliance repair, and general carpentry.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and identify practical solutions.
• Experience safely using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Professional communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with AppFolio or similar property management software is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident maintenance requests and complete repairs promptly and professionally.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, appliance, and general maintenance issues.
• Complete unit turns and prepare apartments for new residents, including make-ready work and inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine property inspections.
• Install and troubleshoot smart locks, access systems, TVs, routers, and other property technology.
• Coordinate with vendors and assist with larger property projects as needed.
• Maintain common areas, amenities, and building systems to company standards.
• Document completed work and communicate updates clearly with the operations team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Competitive pay ranging from $28.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel. Quarterly and year-end bonus opportunities based on individual and company performance.
