Job summary

Sunrise Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician in California to perform a range of maintenance and repairs to uphold property quality and curb appeal. You will support the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, respond to service requests promptly, and help keep apartments rent-ready.

The role requires 1-2 years of hands-on maintenance experience, strong problem-solving, and a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of hands-on maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Superior customer service skills including the ability to manage difficult customers and/or situations.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to maintain a flexible, available schedule to respond promptly and resolve after-hours and weekend emergency maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks, including appliance repair, basic electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, pool maintenance, and custodial work.
• Maintain the exterior curb appeal of the community and ensure the cleanliness of the grounds.
• Assist with daily upkeep of pools, spas, laundry rooms, recreation areas, rental offices, restrooms, and other common areas.
• Ensure apartments are rent-ready within 3-5 days of vacancy.
• Respond promptly and professionally to tenant service requests, ensuring efficient resolution within 24 hours. Notify the Community Manager and residents of delays caused by part orders or other factors.
• Attend and participate in training seminars as requested.
• Deliver communications to residents as required.
• Support resident functions and activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
