Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our residential communities in California. You will handle home and facility repairs, upkeep of grounds, and support safety and curb appeal standards.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, at least 6 months in maintenance, a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work outdoors and on-call schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months in maintenance experience in the apartment or manufactured housing industry is preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and upkeep of property grounds, facilities, streets, and equipment.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance on homes and facilities.
• Inspects irrigation, water meters, and well water systems as applicable.
• Repairs minor repairs to rental homes and facilities as needed.
• Maintains vacant sites and landscaping, including lawn care and trimming.
• Operates community vehicles to move between sites and transport supplies.
• Assists with supervision of service contractors and safety procedures.
