Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Portland. The role involves addressing apartment and property maintenance tasks with a focus on safety, curb appeal, and resident satisfaction.

You will perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general trades, while maintaining the work order system and collaborating with property leadership. A 1-year maintenance background is preferred; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in the property management industry or directly related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, appliance, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance as directed by supervision.
• Perform general carpentry tasks such as wallboard repair, cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window repair, and tile repair.
• Carry out preventative maintenance including painting, lighting, and safety checks.
• Maintain the work order system and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds and buildings to ensure safety, cleanliness and identify issues needing repair or replacement.
• Assist with property emergencies and respond to on-call maintenance as required.
