Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician at the Mira property in Raleigh, NC. The role covers technical and mechanical upkeep of buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas to meet Greystar standards for safety and functionality.

Essential duties include completing work orders, the make-ready process for vacant units, inventory management, and timely documentation. Requires EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license for golf cart operation; onsite schedule includes

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (applies to Certified Service Technicians).
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Performs make-ready tasks to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Manages materials and inventory by tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervision for re-order needs.
• Documents service requests accurately to enable proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds and common areas by cleaning, painting, and performing related tasks as needed.
• Supports cost-control efforts by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools and materials efficiently.
