Job summary

Greystar in Apex, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and amenities meet safety and quality standards. You will diagnose defects, complete work orders and make-ready tasks for vacant units, manage materials, document work, and assist with property inspections while maintaining safety.

Candidates must hold EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver's license; state/local licenses as required; onsite role with

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1 and II or Universal) required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property, as applicable.
• State and local certifications as required for service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the source or cause of defects and repair according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Complete the 2"make-ready3 process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Track inventory and materials, return unused items, and notify maintenance supervisor for re-orders.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation and paperwork for service requests.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning, painting, and debris removal as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing components when feasible and using tools and materials efficiently.
