Job summary

Greystar in Austin, TX is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the physical aspects of the property meet the Company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality.

The role involves diagnosing defects, completing work orders, and supporting make-ready tasks while maintaining documentation and inventory control, with a focus on cost efficiency and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance on the property, diagnosing the defect and repairing per policy and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant homes, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, supplies, and inspection of work.
• Follows procedures to access materials, tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor for re-ordering.
• Completes documentation and paperwork timely to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts and using tools efficiently.
