Job summary

Greystar seeks a Service Technician in Houston to maintain building exteriors, grounds, amenities, and common areas to meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

The role handles work orders, make-ready tasks, inventory management, contractor coordination, and documentation. Requires EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver's license; flexibility and travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Performs make-ready tasks to prepare vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, vendor coordination, and sourcing supplies.
• Manages materials from the maintenance department, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor for re-orders.
• Documents service requests accurately and timely for tracking.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, cleans and performs painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
