Job summary

YES Communities seeks a Maintenance Technician for our Texas community, reporting to the Community Manager. You will maintain grounds, respond to work orders, and assist with home refurbishments to keep residents safe and satisfied.

Ideal candidates bring HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or pool operation experience, a valid in-state driver’s license, and OSHA awareness. Teamwork and safety are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• A valid in-state driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous home refurbishment or make-ready experience preferred.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pool operation experience a plus.
• OSHA certifications or trainings are a plus.
• Proficiency with industry software and using tablets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventative maintenance, work orders, and refurbishments.
• Keep the grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and free of debris.
• Complete work promptly while upholding safety standards.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls per on-call schedule.
• Read water meters, identify leaks, and resolve them.
• Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Assist in new home delivery and setup; report warranty issues.
• Deliver notices as requested by management.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles per safety standards.
• Climb ladders safely up to 8 feet when required.
• Work safely around pets and service animals.
• Other duties as assigned.
