Job description

Thermal Specialties is looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Heat Treat Facility in Oklahoma City. The purpose of this position is to assist with equipment and facility maintenance and support. The overall goal of this role is to minimize unplanned downtime, improve production quality, increase equipment efficiency, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Manage preventative maintenance program
2. Perform troubleshooting of issues to maintain equipment
3. Record and document all completed maintenance, modifications, and repairs
4. Assist in maintaining the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts
5. Welding of carbon steels and stainless steel
6. Electrical troubleshooting of PLC and 480V systems

Knowledge & Skills:

1. Technical degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance; High school diploma or equivalent plus 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience required
2. Good time management, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
3. Troubleshooting skills with mechanical equipment and analytical abilities
4. Basic maintenance or industrial tools knowledge
5. Willingness to work overtime or any shift, including weekends
6. Ability to work in an industrial environment at elevated heights and in confined spaces
7. Exposure to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
8. Valid driver's license

Physical Demands:

1. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in extreme high/low temperatures in a physically demanding environment
2. Frequently required to stand for long periods
3. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear
4. Visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
