Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance
  • At least 2 years of relevant classroom training and work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become an employee, you must:

  • Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check including drug and alcohol verification for the past 3 years

Note: Additional requirements may vary by location.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct standard vehicle and component inspections
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools
  • Identify root causes and perform repairs
  • Replace defective components
  • Support facility maintenance duties
  • Communicate with customers/drivers to clarify issues
  • Use Shop Management System and electronic documentation
  • Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
  • Support operational tasks as needed, including Service Island support
