Immediately hiring a Permanent Full-Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Compensation and Schedule
  • Hourly Pay: $25.92 per hour
  • Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter
  • Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
  • Hours: First Shift 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance
  • Two or more years of relevant classroom training and work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become an employee, you must:

  • Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background, and motor vehicle check

Note: Additional requirements may vary by location or account.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct standard inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools
  • Identify root causes and perform repairs
  • Replace defective components
  • Assist with facility maintenance duties
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of issues
  • Utilize shop management systems and documentation
  • Comply with safety, DOT, MOT, and other regulations
  • Support operations as needed, including service island duties
