Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Washington state. You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks onsite, while maintaining high standards of curb appeal and resident satisfaction.

You’ll handle preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and on-call emergencies, coordinating with supervisors and residents to keep properties running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and general carpentry skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Address apartment and property maintenance duties as directed by maintenance supervisor or property manager.
• Perform repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC and grounds.
• Carry out basic carpentry tasks: wallboard repair, countertop replacement, finish carpentry, window/door repair.
• Conduct proactive preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers, pool, elevator and more.
• Maintain the work order system and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds, buildings and amenities for safety and cleanliness; identify repair needs.
• Assist with emergencies (snow, fires, floods) and communicate issues to leadership.
• Promote safety and risk management in line with regulations and policies.
• Participate in on-call/after-hours maintenance assignments with required response times.
• Ensure professional demeanor and interaction with residents and teams.
