Job summary

B.HOM Student Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to respond to service requests and uphold the community’s standards. You will perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance, and carpentry repairs, run preventive maintenance, and complete unit turns for new residents.

You will inspect common areas, ensure safety, coordinate with vendors, and assist with purchasing while delivering professional, resident-focused service. Evening or weekend on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Availability for night, weekend, and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and support overall upkeep of the community.
• Perform preventative maintenance and unit turns.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and common areas for maintenance needs.
• Coordinate vendors and contractors; oversee maintenance projects as needed.
• Assist with purchasing maintenance supplies and preparing invoices and documentation.
