Job summary

South Oxford Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the property’s systems and resident experience at our New Jersey communities. The role involves on-site repair work across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances, plus on-call duties.

Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and flexibility for weekends and overtime. HVAC knowledge and tool proficiency are highly valued, with paid training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work a flexible work week, including weekends, holidays, overtime.
• Must be able to walk the property, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficient with hand and power tools; HVAC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine work orders at the community, which may include appliance repair, completing emergency and on-call tickets.
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances.
• Diagnose faults, carry out preventative maintenance, and weekly/monthly inspections.
• Ensure resident service requests are completed promptly and apartments are market-ready.
• Respond to resident work orders with a customer-first attitude.
• Utilize maintenance management systems on computers and iPads to complete work orders.
