Job summary

South Oxford Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle routine work orders and preventive maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances. A valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and flexibility to work weekends and on-call hours are required.

The role involves completing make-readies, coordinating vendors, and ensuring safety and cleanliness across the property.

Qualifications

• Valid driving license is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work a flexible work week, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call hours.
• Sharp professional appearance.
• Must be able to walk the property, including stairs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, push, pull, reach, carry supplies.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• May be required to lift to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Travel up to 10% or rarely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine work orders at the community, including appliance repair and on-call tickets.
• Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances.
• Diagnose faults, conduct preventative maintenance, and inspections (weekly/monthly).
• Ensure resident service requests are completed promptly and apartments are market-ready.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
• Respond to resident work orders with a customer-first attitude.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant apartments and manage pre-move-out inspections and vendor coordination.
• Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and keep areas supervised.
