Job summary

South Oxford Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold building quality and safety across properties. Responsibilities include completing routine work orders, diagnosing faults, and maintaining systems from plumbing to HVAC.

You will support residents with timely service and help prepare vacants for leasing while prioritizing safety and compliance. The role requires a valid driver's license, flexibility to work weekends, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• You must have a valid driving license.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work a flexible work week, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call hours.
• Sharp professional appearance.
• Must be able to walk the property, which includes climbing stairs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, push, pull, reach, carry supplies.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• May be required to lift to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Travel up to 10% or rarely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine work orders at the community, which may include appliance repair, completing emergency and on-call tickets.
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances.
• Diagnose faults, carry out preventative maintenance, and weekly/monthly inspections.
• Ensure resident service requests are completed promptly and apartments are market-ready.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
• Respond to resident work orders with a customer-first attitude.
• Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the pre-move-out inspection, creating a “punch” list of maintenance work needed, scheduling vendors and contractors as needed, obtaining needed supplies and materials, completing all maintenance tasks, and inspecting completed work.
