Job summary

Greystar is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for The Fairways. This temporary role covers a LOA with potential to transition to a permanent position at another Greystar community.

The position emphasizes high service standards and teamwork to ensure buildings, grounds, and amenities meetGreystar's quality expectations. The role involves hands-on maintenance, resident service, and making-ready processes, with opportunities for housing discounts and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with painting, entry level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing.
• High level of professionalism in both manner and dress.
• Excellent communication skills: ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins.
• Follows procedures to access materials, track inventory, and notify the supervisor when re-orders are needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning, painting curbs and signage.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
