Job summary

Macy's in Henderson, NV is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our distribution center running at peak performance. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment, conveyors, batteries, and facility systems, diagnosing issues and implementing repairs.

This hands-on role requires the ability to work independently or with a team, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of direct maintenance experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret employment policies, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals in English.
• Resourceful self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with computers and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment issues and determine the need for adjustment, repair, or replacement.
• Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment, conveyors, batteries, and related systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components to reduce downtime.
• Use CMMS to monitor, document, and report maintenance activity.
• Support facility maintenance needs including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, cleaning, lubrication, and corrosion prevention.
