Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Durham, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to improve systems and equipment reliability on assigned processes and support operations.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, interpret drawings, and work rotating shifts while documenting activities in SAP and training teammates. This role supports our manufacturing lines and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in relevant field or equivalent training.
• Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Three years of regulated solid dose manufacturing experience.
• Experience executing equipment troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Successful completion of Maintenance Technician II JQR & promotion board approval.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental requirements in performance of duties.
• Follow SOPs in performance of assigned duties.
• Support development and establishment of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans and spare parts lists for processes assigned.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on assigned process in a timely manner.
• Interpret mechanical and electrical specifications, drawings and data sheets.
• Work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts and/or weekends.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are documented in SAP.
• Collaborate with process owners to improve performance and reliability of equipment.
• Train fellow technicians in areas of expertise and learn new systems.
• Use SPS tools to establish root cause analysis and resolve equipment issues.
• Suggest practical changes to equipment and department work practices.
• Collaborate with Responsible Engineers and Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Other accountabilities, as assigned.
