Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Durham, NC seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician II to improve systems and equipment reliability on assigned processes, reduce downtime, and support operations. This role reports to the Senior Project Manager – OFP and requires hands-on maintenance expertise across mechanical and electrical systems.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent with 5+ years in manufacturing, plus 3+ years in regulated solid dose environments.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in relevant field or equivalent military/industry training.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing industry
• Minimum of three (3) years of regulated industry & solid dose manufacturing experience
• Demonstrated experience in executing equipment troubleshooting, preventative and predictive maintenance
• Successful completion of Maintenance Technician II Job Qualification Requirements (JQR) & promotion board approval

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures in performance of assigned duties
• Support the development & establishment of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans & spare parts lists for processes assigned
• Perform corrective & preventative maintenance on assigned process in a timely manner
• Ability to interpret mechanical & electrical specifications, drawings & other technical data sheets
• Ability to work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts and/or weekends
• Ensure all maintenance activities are correctly documented in SAP
• Partner with process owners to actively improve performance & reliability of process equipment
• Contribute to growth & development of the maintenance team by training fellow technicians in areas of expertise, as well as learning new systems
• Use Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) tools to establish Root Cause Analysis & resolve equipment issues
• Suggest practical changes or improvements to equipment & department work practices
• Collaborate with Responsible Engineers & Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems
• Other accountabilities, as assigned.
