Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Durham, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to improve systems and equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support operation of the assigned process. This role reports to the Senior Project Manager – OFP and requires hands-on technical maintenance in a regulated manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include safety adherence, SOP compliance, maintenance planning, preventive/corrective maintenance, and SAP documentation with collaboration across process owners.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in relevant field or equivalent training.
• Minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
• Regulated industry & solid dose manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write & understand technical documentation, SOPs.
• Understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs & other technical documentation preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred.
• Experience with automated record systems such as SAP preferred.
• Experience in planning/organizing work and managing execution.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety & environmental requirements in performance of duties.
• Follow SOPs in performance of assigned duties.
• Support development & establishment of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans & spare parts lists.
• Perform corrective & preventive maintenance on assigned process in a timely manner.
• Ability to interpret mechanical & electrical specs, drawings & other data sheets.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts and/or weekends.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are documented in SAP.
• Partner with process owners to actively improve performance & reliability of process equipment.
• Contribute to growth & development of the maintenance team through training.
• Use SPS tools to establish Root Cause Analysis & resolve equipment issues.
• Suggest practical changes or improvements to equipment & department work practices.
• Collaborate with Responsible Engineers & Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Other accountabilities, as assigned.
