Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Durham, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to improve systems and equipment reliability in our Solid Dosage Forms facility. You will reduce downtime, perform corrective and preventive maintenance, and document activities in SAP, collaborating with process owners to boost performance of critical equipment.

The ideal candidate has an associates degree or equivalent training, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and familiarity with electrical/mechanical drawings, SOPs, and

Qualifications

• Associates degree in relevant field or equivalent training.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Reading and understanding technical docs, SOPs, PMs and work orders preferred.
• Understanding schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs and other technical docs preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Experience in planning/organizing work and daily work plans.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental requirements in performance of duties.
• Follow SOPs in performance of duties.
• Develop and establish maintenance procedures, maintenance plans and spare parts lists for processes assigned.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on assigned process.
• Interpret mechanical and electrical specifications, drawings and other data sheets.
• Work rotating, night, extended shifts and/or weekends.
• Document maintenance activities in SAP.
• Collaborate with process owners to improve performance and reliability.
• Train fellow technicians and learn new systems.
• Use SPS tools to establish root cause analysis and resolve issues.
• Suggest improvements to equipment and practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems.
