Job summary
UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our team in Kansas. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components, with a standard Monday–Friday week and occasional night/weekend overtime.
On-the-job training is provided, and the company emphasizes training, career growth, and a strong culture. You will work with various maintenance tasks across boilers, mechanisms, and control systems in a large garment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two-year technical degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment problems using observation and precision tools.
- Assist maintenance staff with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specs.
- Test boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment systems and log results.
- Perform daily/weekly boiler safety checks and repairs as needed.
- Inspect and maintain motors, belts, fluids, and lubrication.
- Perform basic welding for repairs.
- Inspect and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and components.
- Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
