Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our team in Oklahoma. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components.

The role includes a Monday–Friday schedule with periodic night and weekend overtime and on-the-job training. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, assisting with repairs, reading blueprints, performing boiler tests, and maintaining safety checks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Two-year technical degree preferred.
Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics is required.
Lockout/Tagout experience is required.
Ability to work overtime as needed is required.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot sources of equipment problems through observation and use of precision measuring and testing instruments.
Assist other maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and associated control systems.
Follow blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and manufacturer instructions.
Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment testing and adjust chemicals as required.
Perform daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and make repairs as needed.
Inspect motors, belts, fluids, replace filters, and perform maintenance per procedures.
Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
Inspect, clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts.
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
