Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our maintenance team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and control systems.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional night and weekend overtime and on-the-job training to support your growth. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and technical training with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Industrial maintenance knowledge of facilities/equipment required.
• 1 year experience repairing industrial processing equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics in English.
• Basic computer/Microsoft Office skills.
• Lockout/Tagout experience required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems using observations and precision instruments.
• Assist maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
• Troubleshoot/repair PLCs and control systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals and engineering specs.
• Test boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment systems; log results and adjust chemicals.
• Perform daily/weekly safety checks on boilers and perform repairs as needed.
• Inspect/maintain belts, shafts, gears and other parts; perform lubrication.
• Perform basic welding to effect repairs.
