Job summary

UniFirst Corporation is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our team. This position involves repairing, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting industrial equipment, with a standard Monday–Friday week and occasional night/weekend overtime.

The role emphasizes PLC troubleshooting, boiler testing, reading schematics, and working with CMMS. A high school diploma or GED is required; a two-year technical degree is preferred and experience in industrial maintenance is valued.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1 year of repair experience on industrial processing equipment in production environment.
Two-year technical degree preferred.
Ability to read blueprints/schematics and maintenance literature in English.
Lockout/Tagout experience required.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot equipment problems using observations and precision instruments.
Assist maintenance staff with repairs and emergency work.
Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and related control systems.
Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals and specs.
Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment testing and adjust chemicals as needed.
Conduct safety checks on boilers and perform repairs as required.
Inspect and lubricate machinery and replace worn parts.
Perform welding to repair facilities and equipment.
Operate with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Other duties as assigned by leadership.
