Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Knowledgeable in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Minimum 1 year of repair experience in a production environment.
• Must pass UniFirst maintenance knowledge assessment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to read maintenance literature in English.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Lockout / Tagout experience.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems through observation and testing using precision instruments.
• Assist maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specs.
• Test boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment systems; log results and adjust chemicals as needed.
• Perform daily/weekly boiler safety checks and repairs.
• Inspect motors, belts, fluids; replace filters per procedures.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Inspect, clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and parts.
• Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
