Job summary

Berks Heim in Pennsylvania seeks a Maintenance Worker to perform skilled and routine maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role may lead and instruct less experienced staff and may be on-call as needed.

Responsibilities include repairs in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry; general upkeep; custodial tasks; moving furniture; snow removal and lawn care; and supporting renovation projects. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Apprentice-level trades training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in building maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in general maintenance and upkeep of building and grounds.
• Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and grounds equipment.
• Assist in construction and renovation projects at Berks Heim.
• Perform custodial tasks and move/repair furniture and fixtures.
• Operate snow removal and lawn care equipment as needed.
• Other related tasks as assigned.
