Job summary

Weidner Communities in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Service Technician 2 to maintain vacant and occupied apartments, performing painting, drywall, and general repairs. You will manage time effectively, work with residents and vendors, and ensure quality service with a focus on asset integrity.

The role requires 3–5 years of maintenance and painting/drywall experience, with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and related systems.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years maintenance experience required.
• 3-5 years painting and drywall repairs required.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude.
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds, climb ladders and stairs.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy: painting, drywall repair, trash out, mechanical, plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Independently perform system repairs on electrical, plumbing, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, appliances, etc.
• Perform detailed carpentry, drywall repairs and interior/exterior painting.
• Identify and apply appropriate paint sheen and color.
• Perform service requests for residents daily and timely with minimal supervision.
• Support on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Be willing to assist maintenance or service teams as needed.
