Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB) is seeking a Service Technician II to respond to service requests, perform interior and exterior maintenance, and keep the property in top condition.

This role requires a strong trades background, positive customer service, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities include repairs across appliances, carpentry, and plumbing, as well as assisting during inspections and maintaining a safe, organized shop.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on repair in two or more trades.
• REAC/HQS experience preferred.
• Industry trade certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies promptly.
• Complete or monitor preventive maintenance tasks for building systems.
• Prepare and repair vacant apartments for new residents move-ins.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces, including snow removal.
• Prepare repairs for REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
• Maintain maintenance shop and inventory with PPE compliance.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with guidance to Maintenance Tech I.
