Job summary

Target is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 to help install, maintain, and repair automated material handling equipment. You’ll work with maintenance teams to quickly restore equipment and ensure high availability in the facility.

You will collaborate with senior staff, follow safety procedures, and participate in training of apprentices to grow technical skills in a fast-paced supply chain environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license for state employed.
• PC competency and use of handheld devices.
• Familiar with wiring diagrams and electrical measuring.
• 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical/electrical field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical aspects of MHE on site (conveyors, sortation, robotics, AS/RS).
• Adjust scanners, cameras, field buses, scales, printer applicators.
• Repair components (belts, chains, cables) and wearing parts (bearings, wheels, pulleys).
• Calibrate equipment; follow jobs plans, procedures, and manuals.
• Use asset management app to create/close Work Orders with data.
